On December 17, 2014, Dr. James Lee brought a delegation of 12 people to Dominican Republic and was warmly hosted by the Country’s Economic, Planning and Development Minister Juan Temistocles Montas. Mr. Montas is an important candidate for Presidency in 2016. During the meeting Dr. Lee and Mr. Montas explore to set up possible sister city relationships between China and Dominican Republic’s capital Santo Domingo and second largest city Santiago.

    The city of Santo Domingo welcomes over 600,000 tourists annually. Tourism income exceeds hundreds of millions of dollars and has become an important economic source for the country of 10 million people.
